Spyware

Signs of spyware: Are you being watched?

My computer seems sluggish. Spyware and other unwanted software are not necessarily designed to be efficient. The resources these programs use to track your activities and deliver advertisements can slow down your computer and errors in the software can make your computer crash.
If you notice a sudden increase in the number of times a certain program crashes, or if your computer is slower than normal at performing routine tasks, you may have spyware or other unwanted software on your machine.
If you think your computer is infected with spyware, find out how to ged rid of spyware and how you can prevent spyware from getting on your computer.

How to help prevent spyware?

Step 1: Use a firewall
While most spyware and other unwanted software come bundled with other programs or originate from unscrupulous Web sites, a small amount of spyware can actually be placed on your computer remotely by hackers. Installing a firewall or using the firewall that's built into Windows XP provides a helpful defense against these hackers.

Step 2: Update your software
If you use Windows XP, one way to help prevent spyware and other unwanted software is to make sure all your software is updated. Visit Microsoft Update to confirm that you have Automatic Updates turned on and that you've downloaded all the latest critical and security updates.

Step 3: Adjust Internet Explorer security settings
You can adjust your Internet Explorer Web browser's security settings to determine how much—or how little—information you are willing to accept from a Web site. Microsoft recommends that you set the security settings for the Internet zone to Medium or higher.
To view your current Internet Explorer security settings:
1. In Internet Explorer, click Tools and then click Internet Options.
2. Select the Security tab.

Step 4: Surf and download more safely
The best defense against spyware and other unwanted software is not to download it in the first place. Here are a few helpful tips that can protect you from downloading software you don't want:
•
Only download programs from Web sites you trust. If you're not sure whether to trust a program you are considering downloading, ask a knowledgeable friend or enter the name of the program into your favorite search engine to see if anyone else has reported that it contains spyware.
•
Read all security warnings, license agreements, and privacy statements associated with any software you download.
•
Never click "agree" or "OK" to close a window. Instead, click the red "x" in the corner of the window or press the Alt + F4 buttons on your keyboard to close a window.
•
Be wary of popular "free" music and movie file-sharing programs, and be sure you clearly understand all of the software packaged with those programs.

Y the whole world is completely covered with money...
When I was working in Tualang (My Hometown), my salary was ONLY RM900... Imagine that... That was A LOT OF money if you want to stay at my place coz the breakfast, lunch & dinner all not more than RM3 for 1 person (not including drinks of course). In fact when the aunty there ask me how much is my salary then i told them RM900, they will actually "WAH! so much?" (Just Imagine) But I can't afford to buy even a car for myself on that salary... Terrible... Some more I work 3 person's duty! Thats the reason!
Then after I came to SG, I got my 1st job at $1300, that time I think "WOW" this is my 1st $1300 = RM2800... Thats a lot... 3x from my last salary... Lucky I came here... Then I realise $1300 not so much also as I spend... Eat, Rent, Daily Exp.... But sure I still can save some money lar...
Actually I am a VERY "niao" (which mean kedekut) person. Coz basicly I dont like shopping, I don't like to buy clothes, shoes, bags... (Except from accessories like necklaces, bangles & earings!) Some more I am renting a room which share with another room mate, even if I bought also cant find a place to squeeze in...
Now that I got a better job with $1400 salary (2008). I am starting to put some small investment (which i felt little bit regret now) with a monthly deduction of $400... Left me only $1000 to continue on my monthly exp...
My collegue complaint on my clothing as I wear same clothes every month, no update & no skirts... (I wont buy new clothes unless my old 1 really faded in colours or out of shape) How I wish I can work at a place which wear uniform... hahaha... So, now I spend some money on new clothes every month... my $$$ fly away faster....
I feel dizzy when i go into the clothing shop... too much & i am no good in fashion sense... & shoes... I hate high heel alot!!! makes my feet pain! Now I am wearing a sport shoe which is very comfortable Nike... at least it lasts for 8 months & still very nice!
Things are extra expensive nowadays... as Good things = expensive price.... If you buy a less than $30 thing will be a very cheap thing = low quality & easy broken.... Dresses can be cheap from $28 (cheap) to $300 (expensive)....
You can always find "Dis Fashion" & "BalenNo" (I can't spell the correct words coz I might be sue, haha) for the cheap & low quality clothes...
Because of the $400 now every month I have to watch very close on my expenses... Coz i still have to pay rent, my internet connection fee, my meals... sigh... (I am trying very hard coz I don't wanna reduce the $400 coz the more money i can see, the more i spend)
Next year July I plan to study ACCA / CAT as I already save enough money to further my study, hopefully after the study I will be more "rich".... hahahaha.....

my birthday

31st October was my birthday. On Thursday... ish...
how I wish it is Saturday or Sunday so that I can celebrate it more "excitingly" hahaha... However this birthday is really memorable 1...
Coz my bf bring me to Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe to dinner, then his mom cook "mi sua" & red egg for me (traditional food for birthday celebration) plus she gave me a present - pearl pendant (very pretty).
Most surprise thing is my bf's nephew bought me a birthday cake! (my favourite mango flavor & is a Bread Talk cake! Nice!!!)

Why So Few Holiday?

I wonder why so few holiday here...

I still remember when i work in Malaysia, there are AT LEAST 1 day holiday in 2 months time. AT LEAST you know... Sometimes maybe more...

Just past the Raya holiday... Now have to wait for Deepavali... If I am not mistake, I think Deepavali already change to 27th October 2008 which is Monday (I like it!)

Speaking of Hari Raya, I just attend a party that day, eating KFC & Pizza... Makes my throat feels extra not good now... I think maybe I ate too much that day...

Opps... the title suppose to be holiday... Ok... That Raya day, me & my bf went to East Coast to ride bycycle... Hahaha... So funny... I used to ride bycycle a lot when i am home... Not that special also... But away from home since now, this is the 2nd time i ride the bycycle... At beach some more, the feeling is quite good actually coz you can feel the breeze.... Plus that day was super good weather, no big big hot sun at least...

At the party, we watch "4bia"... quite ok de... It's about 4 ghost story, not ghost actually, more to "curse"... Quite scary in some part... But wat funny is when you see other ppl scream like hell & use their hands to cover the eyes... Hahaha....

Miss you so much...

I've been in Singapore for 1 year + 2 months liao... So far i really like this place, bacause this place is clean & safe... Rearly see rubbish around & i can put my wallet on the table while i am having my lunch outside...
But sometimes i really miss my home alot... miss my mom alot... i went back once a year (1 week) on last CNY... i can really feel the difference between these 2 places... my home - so cold at night... the wind blow soft & go to every corner of the house... so refreshing... the water from the pipe... freezing cold... then i can see kids playing around in front of their house or riding their bike in a group... Weekends we went to waterfalls or riverside... having fun & catching fishes... the life there is relaxing...
Here in SG, everything is "standard"... adults go to work, student go to study, after school stay at home playing computer, gameboy... the country is well organised...
When i am little girl, i like to play marbles with my neighbour... we got a big space in front of our house, so we just draw a circle on the sand, place some marbles inside & start the game... or we ride our bike go around the town, feeling the cold wind goes across our face... or look at the star at the night, play with some candles... days going so easily when we have so many things to do...
Miss my hometown alot...

Will You Donate Your Organ?

I will... In fact I think of doing this since I was in secondary school... Even now i still think i'll do the same thing...

Yesterday i told my bf about this but he don't agree & don't allow me to do this. I am kind of confuse why he don't allow. Well, he said he don't want my body not "COMPLETE" after i died... Then i do explain back to him, "u c, after i died, my body is just sent to burn & you'll only collect my bone ash also... Since my organs being burned just like that, i rather donate it to others who may need it..." & i never thought what i am thinking is wrong... I think this is quite meaningful, at least i can help someone else...

Organs is so precious, but after i died, i can't use it anymore... So i think maybe my organs can use by others... Eyes, heart, kidney.... & others lar.... Sure i can't imagine myself without my eyes or my heart, but if i was died, i can't c also wat! So, y not? But what i can image, if i am died, maybe my heart is still beating, my eyes is still watching... in other people's body... i think that is quite good...

I haven't told this to my mom yet, dunno what will she act... But i think i'll do this also...

X-plode!

Ms. C! Do u know what means by BEFORE? BEFORE is not BY!!!!
Earlier on i told u the customer needs the installation BEFORE friday means thursday, wednesday, tuesday, monday.... Do i need to flip the dictionary & put it in front of your desk to show u wat BEFORE means????? If u already put it in tomorow's scedule then tell me u already put it in lar! y wanna tell me, what we mean before friday is including friday. Then wat means BY? BY friday means including friday! u know English or not????

Y u hv to said some more, OK lar dun argue some more, next time if u wanna say like this u arrange the schedule yourself & explain to the customer yourself. RUDE!!! u know wat u said or not?

So next time i am going to tell u "BEFORE THURSDAY" so u can understand, or i'll tell my customer, my colleague dunno wat means by BEFORE. She take BEFORE as BY. Is it wat u wan Ms. C???

Human Relationship

Today we talk about human realtionship ok?

I have a collegue, Indian, Malaysian also... He is a "OK" guy actually, quite a fun personality, but when we speak about work, he is quite blur also... Always forget this & that... Some more, he always take leave without inform to company also... This is a big problem u know... Coz he always so forgetful, customers complaint to us that he told our guys to replace this & that but we din do so. (coz he forgot to tell us) But other than tat, he is quite ok coz he knows lots of things whether in repair or others...

Lately he told Miss C tat he wanna resign... Since tat moment, his work performance become worse... forget more thing lor... wat else... Actually he brought Ms. C so many problems but she never report to Boss also... Quite good to him already but he dunno also...

Last 2 days he is been taking leave coz he said tat he fall sick & tis time he did call to office to inform lar... But Ms. C seems like not so happy coz he din come makes our scedule cockup...

Today morning he came, As soon as he pass by in front of office... Ms. C call him (in black face) & said : MC. Letter(Resign). (she said it quite rude actually)

She din realise tat she always act like tat... She seems like "u cant get sick when i need u"... This make our sevice guy not like her so much also... She likes to comand ppl instead of Co-operate also... No wonder she told me before she wont become a sales person (sure u cannot if ur attitude like tis)

Sometimes i din agree on her but i din told her also coz she assume tat anything comes out from her mouth is always correct. So y i wanna argue with her? The way she talk to him tis morning makes me so uncomfortable also... If i am the worker, i also cannot stand her, maybe i'll ask her back "y? i sick also cannot take leave r? or i owe u money?" She really has a bad temper & likes to spread her bad mood to ppl around her also...

Leader is important. Nowadays as a leader, it is whether u wan your workers to scare of u OR u wan them to work for u... Now only i know being a successful sales person really GOOD also u know... coz no matter how rude is the customer u also have to TAHAN!!! Really a challenge leh...

Investment

So long time already since my last post...

Recently things is going quite ok actually... Except that i'm quite "broke" lately...

I do some investment & i'm quite regret about it... Coz i hv to pay about $400 per month... Of coz the interest rate is high about 4% - 9% per annum (depends on the market value) & It is some kind of policy included also... But i have to pay at least 5 years (or continue on until i'm 40 years old)... & every month is $400 u know... $400 x 12 x 5 = S$24,000

WOW!!! What a number... But wat i'm looking for is the interest for sure... If everything run smoothly... I'll get at least S$28,000 in 5 years later... That's wat fixed deposit also cannot reached... But i have to squeeze myself in 5 years time... Hope it worths...

Can our ppl trust u?

Yesterday i read the newspaper, it saids that girl being raped by the policeman was now emotionally uncontrolled, sometimes smilling & laughing, then sometimes cry like hell...



Actually when i read that news about the policeman rapes the girl who try to ask him to release her bf, i was shock! The policeman actually rape her in condition to let her bf go... He was totally a SHIT!



Its been a long time kids dream to be a policeman, wanna keep the world in safe & peace... Now wat happen? 1 policeman act like tis actually let us lose confidence in ALL the policeman u know? So can we trust them? I wish i can... Wondering wat will they do to the policeman? Fire him? Will it do? The girl already hd been pushed to CRAZY by him... Fire him wont help her also...



Still remember there was a guy who jailed by raping girls a lot & when he caught into jail again coz he rape AGAIN, he actually smiling & told the reporters that he'll continue to rape girls when he is released... This is ridiculous! Wat happen to the world now?

If i am the judge, i'll cut his dd out so tat he cant do anything anymore! I'll do the same for all the rapers also. Too crue? I dont think so even for the 1st time rapers... y? Because when they wanna rape some one, did he ever tot wat harm he'll do for the girls? If he never think of tat, y should we giv them chances? Regret to do so? Then y never think twice at the 1st place? Some girls even related to the rapers u know? So y should we give them chances?

Tighter laws can push ppl to think twice if they try to do something bad... Dont u think so?

Make it short & simple

This morning is just not my day...

I am in the middle of sorting the aerosol can, then the phone rang... Ms. C is busy help our service crew on their scedule, so i pick up the phone... Is the OM from a school, he ask whether his order is deliver by today or not, so i put him on hold & ask Ms. C (she is the 1 who responsible on schedule)

I go to her & ask "Ms. C, OM from X Sch ask u whether u deliver his order by today or not" Then she ask me "Who?"
I said, OM from X Sch
"Who??"

(Walau... Just answer me yes or no lar! Wat is so important about wat's the OM name? Ppl wanna know whether his order is send by TODAY OR NOT only mah, if not in your scedule today then tell me no lor! i'll let him know... wats de big deal in answer YES or NO?)

I am not happy about this already... Who knows later when all the crews went out, we sit inside the office to do our own job... Suddenly she said, "Next time make things short & clear, sometimes i really dun understand wat u mean u know..."

My fire is really ON! I said, "just now i told u... OM from X Sch ask whether his things send by today or not" (Really so much to understand meh?) <>

Mahjong Queen

I DONT like gamble, whether in pockers or 4D or Toto even mahjong... y? coz i hate to lose... I dun believe in easy money, especially those kind of u put 2 dollar to win 2000 one... I think it is quite impossible... I saw ppl strike Toto or 4D for hundreds of thousands, but i also know how much they've put their money in those gambling accounts... 1 day $50, 3 times a week = $150 x 4 = $600 per month = $7200 a year... Please count how many years u've been NOT strike ok... I am good in counting these kind of stuff... Tats y i seldom buy Toto & 4D (maybe once in 3 months)

Pockers? I know how to play but i am not good in playing pocker cards also coz it needs skills which i dont hv... (maybe i just dun hv the luck in gambling also)

Mahjong? Recently i play mahjong & i win almost every time... Hahaha.... yeah i dun like to play mahjong also, but the elders want to play so i have to join... To let u all know, i am not a great player in mahjong also... But y i win? this is some tricks when u play with the experts....

experts usually doing BIG winning... So the way u wanna break them is... DONT even try to arrange for BIG winning... Game watever u hv even it is small & even u hv the chance to game bigger in just a minute... y? coz the more chance u give urself to game bigger, the more chance u give them also... If they win, they'll win BIG... So, y bother big or small??? As long as u r game, u'll hv the money in your hands...

Diner Dash is always being a nice game since the 1st version. Now even more better. But i dun like the earth quake part coz i have to mop de floor after tat...

These 2 days i've been playing a lot of games... But i'll vote for DINER DASH!!!

This kind of girl always curi tulang, then when somebody found out liao wanna act like angry some more leh...

At that moment i really feel like wanna answer her back "saya tanya u baik baik u jgn bagi saya tengok muka macam tu ok, i dont owe u anything." But i din say... y? coz if i speak it out, sure later things will go worst. Some more now i am still a new guy over here... Later u'll c... After a while when i got power u sure dead meat 1

JUST WAIT N C

Headache...

Having a terrible headache right now... Luckily i finish my works already...



This few days my body feel like a bit weird... How to say har...



I used to sleep early de, around 9 something... I know it is too early but i am used to it already... Have nothing to do also wat... N i never eat supper before sleep since i came to Singapore... Somemore since i work in this new company, i drink less water also... I know this is not good coz we hv to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day...



So, not long later, problems comes out... My skin become dry, Dark circles come out, doing big business in toilet also difficult... Then i realise, this problems cannot be put aside liao... must face it & solve it as soon as possible. The main problem is i drink not enough water. But before this i tot only not enough sleep will cause the dark circles, i never know water also important for beautiful eyes...



So now i drink a lot everyday, although my dark circles still here but at least my skin is not dry anymore & i can go toilet easier... Hahahaha....



Speaking of dark circles, i bought an eye cream to fight it, but not yet see the results leh... Now only i know that dark circles r so terrible... Some times i woke up at night & saw the mirror i tot that was a ghost inside tim...



But for hair, i keep it quite nice you know... Lately i bought the Loreal Hair Treatment Cream (de new 1 with pearl essence) Actually this product is quite good u know, after 1 week time i really can c de shining hair liao....



Yesterday my bro send me an email. My mom draw a picture & took to his shop & ask him take a shot then mail to me... Wat a funny mom... She really likes to draw a lot. 1 more thing, she never attend any drawing class u know... This is her natural talent... Here is the picture

Work

Maybe u all dunno, I work in a hygiene company now. Mainly focus on toiletries such as air freshener, jumbo roll, handsoap & sanitary bin... & my job as admin assistant doing invoices & delivery orders everyday... I like this job very much coz my admin manager is a very nice person & we chat alot oso



This morning the jumbo rolls came from M'sia. So we help the service guy abit to load into our warehouse with the trolley. As the jumbo rolls r too heavy & i'm skinny so i move more slow than others (maybe is bcoz i never do heavy job b4 also)... how heavy? 16rolls per bundle, 8 bundles per trolley, & 1 roll is 700g. So, 8 x 16 x 700g = 89600g / 89.6kg



So, the guys suggest me better tape the broken plastic bags instead of loading the jumbo rolls. Then i said ok lor! Much better becoz loading the rolls is so NOT EASY coz they'll drop if i din control the trolley good enuf...



As i am taping is teared plastic bag, another service lady push the trolley in. Somehow she seems not happy coz i'm doing the EASY job inside while she is loading in the rolls. Then she said, Come out lar, load the rolls leh! Then i put the tape aside & go out lor. Then she said, try lar! i also can do it wat. i also girl wat" (can c tat she dun feel good about i treated like a girl in the office but she is not) But she is familiar with these kind of work mah! This is wat she is doing! How can compare?



But u know, since she is asking, so ok i try lar! Sure the results is the same, she took in 2 trolleys liao i'm just finish push in 1 trolley... Then she saw me doing it so SLOW, she said "faster lar!"

What can i do, i already done my best liao, so i just ignore but smiling at her also... Then the guys inside said to me "never mind load slowly, later hurt yourself", Then they blame at the malay girl said she bully me... (wahahaha... happy...)



Then she looks like angry liao... Haih... maybe this is the privilege that only pretty girl have... Hohoho...

I need somebody to help me!!!

Recently my mom pushing me a lot (ask me to study further on)... Diploma in SG..... So tough you know... Not that i'm not willing to study, but i really got little info in studying for diploma... Y some of the diploma period are YEARS but some only MONTHS???

I've done searching on the internet for MONTHS but i'm still blur blur... HELP!!!

Actually i plan to study for diploma in Business Management, so i look it up on the net c which is better for me... Then i realise, the period to study for the diploma is different for each poly/ sch...
Some r 4 years, some r 1 year, some r 10 mths.... But i really dunno wats de difference???

Haih... so blur liao leh... can somebody give me some guide coz i'm so lost!!!!

Thief

Nowadays so many ppl become thief in M'sia...

Just now i saw on my friend's blog, his house just broke in by a thief & his laptop has been stolen... So unlucky leh...

Dunno since when, M'sia become worse in safety... It is lucky for me coz i have not yet been through this kind of things, but i saw a lots lots of theft cases happens nearby me also...

1st 1 was my X-employer, he park his lorry in front of POLICE STATION everyday. But guess wat, the lorry was stolen also! about 3am lar... & wat is so funny about is... The guard in the police station saw NOTHING! Oh my god... Just imagine, ppl actually dare to steal a huge 6 tonnes lorry IN FRONT OF THE POLICE STATION!

2nd time which is also the same, some ppl tried to steal the ladder which lay bside the wall in my X-company. But lucky my Xemployer's wife notice tat & shout at them at de window then scared them away...

3rd time which is at my X boss wife's old house. Somebody drive a lorry to the house, stop by & climb in the house. Then the neighbour shout at them. They actually said they were sent by my X boss's wife to come & take the generator but forgot to bring the key. Then the neighbour called her but by the time she reached, they already took away the generator away. Report to the police? yes but they din found the thief also.

Actually based on these facts, we can c the safety around us is poor enough. What to do... Just admit it when your luck is down...

So miss when i was a little girl... Our door was always wide open... Dun hv to afraid of anything... But those days was gone... haih... Now when i go back, i c more & more foreigners on de street liao... dunno legal or not also...
